Tips for Requesting Free Samples:
* Watch out for fake sites. Most free samples will come from the website of that particular company. For example, if the sample is for Dove Moisturizer then the website to sign up for the sample will be Dove’s website. This is not true all of the time, as sometimes third party companies will be hired distribute free samples. Always do your best to make sure the sites you request samples from are legitimate.
* Please respect samples that are meant for companies/businesses/industries ONLY. Do not sign up for a free sample that is obviously meant for prospective companies or businesses. These companies are doing their best to offer these benefits to prospective customers and may not be able to continue sending free samples if their courtesy is abused. If you don’t qualify for it, don’t request it.
* We here at Family Freebies we pledge to bring you only the most legitimate free samples available on the web. Along with our efforts, in order to protect yourself and your personal information, you must always be aware of what you are signing up for. Always read all the terms and conditions of the sample request. Be aware of how your information will be used and what you are signing up for. Never blindly submit your personal information on any page. You may be required to subscribe to a site e-mailing list, to receive newsletters, to be entered into contests, sweepstakes, drawings, or you may be asked to refer friends as a part of your sample request. If you don’t like the terms, don’t request the sample.
* Please make your topic titles as clear as possible, instead of a title like “Free Coffee Sample” try to include the company name, such as “Free Folgers Coffee Sample.” This will help to reduce redundant posts.
* Feel free to post topics for samples, coupons or deals that aren’t available to residents of the United States. If you do post these topics, please put the country they are good for in the post Subject/Title box if possible.
* Please try to avoid posting those long, complicated and ugly URLs. There are different methods to do this. You can use websites such as tinyurl.com or snipurl.com, enter the long URL into their site and they will provide you with a small and neat link. Or you can use the forum function to create hyperlinked text. To do this when you are writing a post, type in text such as "Here's the Link" or "Click Here", highlight this text and click on the "Insert Hyperlink" icon (it looks like a sign post with URL on it). * Some free sample posts may be marked as *Dead* because they have been canceled or the links don't function anymore. If you notice that the offer is back up or has been renewed, please feel free to repost the sample as a new topic.
* Share your great finds with the savings community! We would love to get your posts and opinions on the free samples you've found lately. Keep An Eye Out For More Tips!
